Billing & Credits

Credits are the currency used to run jobs on Bytesalt. The Billing section lets you manage your subscription, configure Auto Top-up, purchase one-time top-ups, and access the billing portal to update payment methods or download invoices.

Note: Only Admins can access the Billing section.

Subscription Credits

The Starter plan includes 500 credits per billing cycle, renewed automatically at the start of each cycle. Unused subscription credits do not carry over — they reset when the cycle renews.

Top-up Options

When your subscription credits run low, you can add more credits in two ways.

Auto Top-up (recommended)

Auto Top-up automatically adds 500 credits ($50) whenever your balance is too low to continue running tests — no manual action needed.

• Validity: Credits are valid for the current billing cycle. Any unused credits carry forward to the next billing cycle before expiring.
• Monthly limit: You can set a monthly spending cap in the Billing settings to keep full control of your budget. Top-ups automatically pause once the limit is reached.

We recommend enabling Auto Top-up to prevent test interruptions. You can always adjust or remove the monthly limit at any time.

Top Up Once

Manually purchase 400 credits ($50) as a one-time payment whenever you need them.

• Validity: Credits are valid for 1 year from the date of purchase.
• Value: At $0.125 per credit, Top Up Once costs more per credit than Auto Top-up ($0.10/credit). Use it only when you need a one-off boost.
